This last week was so wonderful for me! I felt very strongly that Tim and I needed to attend Education Week here at BYU-I, and even though we are quite poor, we bit the bullet and decided to do it and that the Lord would provide. I am so glad we did! Words cannot describe how meaningful every single one of the classes I attended was to me. I felt like each one really had been specifically designed for me and I received answers to so many of my prayers. Best of all, I regained THE VISION that I had lost in my dark abyss. I can again see with my Spiritual eyes and I was able to drink of the well of Living Water. Not only was my parched spirit revived, but so literally was my mind and body. I am so filled with gratitude and thanks for my Heavenly Father guiding Tim and I (even if it was with a 2x4) down here so that we both could receive the blessings we need to learn and grow. I feel so much better, I am filled with hope, I have been truly inspired, and the spirit has filled my brain with so many specific ideas and guidance for myself, my marriage, and our family.
Tim and I have been able to sit and talk about the things we learned and make decisions on steps to take in strengthening our marriage and family. He is so supportive and is genuinely as excited as I am to make these changes. I love him so much and so grateful he is so willing to work together to create a gospel centered home.
In the process of attending classes, we were going to need a babysitter for Corbin. In a random, roundabout way the Lord directed us to a young woman named Valarie who lives on the other side of Rexburg. The first day she watched Corbin at her home and the next day at our house. She was a fabulous babysitter! She did so well with Corbin, that when I came home- he wanted her to say and play! It was so cute! He really liked her!!
We decided that we needed to go to an Education Week every year from now on as a couple because of how much we learned and have been blessed from this experience. We are going to make it part of our annual "Couples Retreat" (alone time away from kids).

Hi Carisa,
It's great to hear from you. I enjoyed reading your blog. I can totally relate to what you are talking about in regards to your spiritual well being dry. I have been feeling that way for a LONG time. Too long. The church is really challenging up here and is the main reason we want to move (we are hoping for a job offer from the Kennewick Police Dept. for Justin). There are a lot of good people here, but in general there is a very apathetic mood in our ward. It has been hard to maintain enthusiasm for attending church here. And we need more as a family.
Anyway, I will add you to my list of friends so I can keep up with what's going on with you.

Hi Carisa! It was so fun to see your name pop up on my blog! I didn't know you had moved to Rexburg! What an exciting change! We had a family from our ward here in Hamilton just move there last week. If you run into the Duncans tell them hi! You asked about Jeff and Megan, they don't have a blog (yet! I'm working on her!) but they are living in Kennewick and just bought a house. Their baby is about 15 or 16 months now. They're doing just great!
Enjoy that Ricks spirit! You'll never have the opportunities that being a student family there gives you again!
hey carisa! you look so cute & i love your hair. i came across your name on arahs blog, so i hope you don't mind if i ad you to my mine. :)
